Officers and By-Laws

President: In addition to the duties listed below at present the President keeps membership and manages the website excluding the Gallery and the Calendar.

  • Preside over meetings of the club and overseeing the administration of club activities.

  • Abide by and enforce the by-laws of the club.

  • Call on the Executive Board to formulate or make changes to club policy and maintain communication with the Executive Board and put all issues to a vote as per the by laws.

  • Act as club spokesman to external organizations and the general public.

  • Cast the tie breaker vote when necessary.

  • Work closely with the Executive Board and Event Coordinator.

Vice President: In addition to the duties listed below the Vice President is responsible for maintaining the Gallery in the website.

  • Conduct meetings in the absence of the President.

  • Take on tasks to assist the President when needed.

  • Participate in Executive Committee meetings.

  • In case the Club President resigns, the Vice President automatically becomes the president, and the Executive Board appoints a new Vice President.

Secretary:

  • Record complete and accurate minutes of Executive Board Meetings.

  • Select a substitute to take meeting minutes when not able to attend meeting.

Treasurer:

  • Process and maintain membership applications and forward information to President and Vice President.

  • Collect membership dues and all monies due to the club and deposit them in the club checking account.

  • Balance the checkbook and maintain a complete, accurate, and up to date record of all transactions.

  • Present a financial report at all Executive Board meetings.

  • Disperse monies for expenditures and approved the the Executive committee.

  • Maintain proper IRS/Tax documentation. Including filing the IRS Form 990-N online before May 15 of each year.

Event Coordinator: In addition to the duties listed below the Event Coordinator will assist the president in maintaining the calendar on the website.

  • Prepare a schedule for the regular business meetings and/or workshops for the upcoming club year.

  • Plan the program content for the regular business meetings and/or workshops.

  • Arranges for guest speakers, presenters, and/or other resources necessary for the regular business meetings and/or workshops.

  • At the request of the President, preside over regular club meetings.

  • Communicate the schedule and any changes for the regular business meetings and workshops to the Board members in a timely fashion so as to ensure timely communication with the membership of these activities.
